“We have been boaters all our married lives, and we have traveled the Intracoastal waterway from New York to Florida and inland waterways through the years. Being boaters, we understand the importance of being treated right wherever our boat takes us.

The way we see it, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to create a fun environment are most important. We hope to see you regularly as we continually improve upon our facilities. As always we welcome your comments and suggestions.”

About the Marina

Located at Latitude 42° 27′, Longitude -73° 47′, between Buoys 185 and 187 on the Hudson River, Shady Harbor is easily accessible for boats of any size. Donovan’s Shady Harbor Marina is a proud sponsor of the Great Loop Association, an Active Captain’s First Choice Marina, Marinas.com Boaters Choice Award Winner and a Capital Region "Bestie" Award Winner . We are conveniently located just South of Albany on the Hudson River with easy approach deep water slips.

With a deep water approach and talented staff we are a great place to call home. A full service marina awaits you with competitively priced gas and diesel fuel, a ship’s store, fully stocked parts and accessories and certified mechanics on site. Replenish all the on-board essentials at our convenience store and find unique gifts, apparel, jewelry, and more.

For all of our overnight docking guests, we offer water hookup, electricity, and free pump-out service. There is always a dock master on hand to guide you in and aid in your slip placement. We monitor channel 16 on your VHF radio. Just call ahead as you approach our marina.

Stay a day, a week, or a month at this family and pet friendly facility and enjoy a full-service marina complete with a convenience store, ships store, gift shop, bathhouse, laundry room, swimming pool, restaurant, property-wide WiFi and more.

Docks

Donovan’s Shady Harbor Marina has dock space available for vessels up to 165', with minimum 10′ depth at all docks. There are no barrier walls or obstructions to create potential hazards. Our restaurant dock provides space for day-use and restaurant patrons at all times, including jet ski ports and a kayak launch.

Ship’s Store

Our ship’s store is not only stocked with all of your boating needs such as lines, anchors, fenders, VHF radios, and US Coast Guard required equipment, but also with a variety of retail merchandise that makes for a unique shopping experience. We carry essential food items, beer, snacks, ice cream and candy, as well as, apparel, jewelry and a variety of gift items.

Boathouse Grille

The Boathouse Grille is located on premise, and can be approached by water or land. Enjoy a comfortable atmosphere in the indoor dining room, or a beautiful view of the river from the deck covered by an awning. The Boathouse Grille serves casual fare and gourmet pizza and is open for lunch and dinner from May-October.

Boat Maintenance and Repair

Shady Harbor Marina is a full-service boat repair shop. With a combination of in-house technicians and specialty service providers, our team can handle most service requests and point you in the right direction if the job is not in our scope.
