We are looking for teams to compete in our friendly food competition. We would like 2 -person teams from as many Mohawk-Hudson boat clubs as possible to come to Shady Harbor Marina with their best rendition of Caribbean Jerk cuisine. Each team will be provided a small tent to create their unique delicacies. Click here to register!

There will be 3 highly qualified judges to award the “cup” for the year. You will also receive a small gift from Shady Harbor Marina, and let’s not forget bragging rights!

Ship setting sail from Shady Harbor to benefit Regional Food Bank of NENY

Onrust, a 50 ft replica 17th-century Dutch yacht will start and end it’s journey at Shady Harbor Marina. The 50 Foot Onrust was originally scheduled to sail last Fall but was cancelled due to the damage from Irene and Lee. See the full article in the Times Union here.

The Hudson River Treats Those Who Explore

Have you ever considered boating further North (past NYC) on the Hudson but hesitate for one reason or another? According to Capt. Len Beck the Hudson River offers much more than most can imagine in the Hudson River Valley.   In his travels up and down the Hudson on the Battered Bull he continues to be amazed at the beautiful scenery and historic landmarks along the way.

“Palm Sunday” at Shady Harbor Marina

Palm Trees at Shady Harbor Marina on the Hudson River15 beautiful Palm Trees were shipped from Florida last week and are now all around the grounds at Shady Harbor Marina!

New York State Spare Seat Kayak Expedition Arrives at Shady Harbor

These avid kayakers are enroute to the Statue of Liberty. Their epic journey of over 500 miles started in Buffalo and they are travelling south to NYC. In promoting I LOVE NY, they offer a spare seat to local New Yorkers at the front seat of the kayak along their trip. The guest is featured in a video post on their blog. Follow their journey down the Hudson River and you just might recognize a Shady Harbor Marina Team Member over the next few days!
